Council is a representative organ of the citizens. It has duties and obligations regulated by the Law. For different problems and questions, Council can form a temporary and continuous commisions.City Council has a statute and elections of the members of commisions depends on political parties and it’s elected representatives on regular local elections.Number of people that will participate in the city council depends on law articles. For Stip, that number cam’t be below 9 or above 33 members. All members of city Council have mandates long 4 years.Every City Council elects President. President of City Council leads the council sessions. President also signs the decissions together with city mayor.
